Description

Richelieu is currently seeking a Purchaser, for its headquarters, located in Ville Saint-Laurent. The incumbent will ensure the supply of products sold by Richelieu and will be responsible to maintain optimum inventory levels to meet corporate objectives and service level of turnover (of products).

Responsibilities

• The incumbent will:
• Analyse and take action on the recommendations of the reports of supply (place orders);
• Track orders with suppliers;
• Maintain an optimal level of inventory in all warehouses to its portfolio of products;
• Understand the reasons affecting the service level and provide effective solutions in order to maintain a more-than-satisfactory service level;
• Participate in the introduction of new lines of products in the Richelieu portfolio;
• Work collaboratively with product managers and marketing agents;
• Address various supply problems with the suppliers / providers;
• Implement and apply company policies and procurement procedures ;
• Perform any other related duties assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Diploma of Collegial Studies or University diploma (BAC) in Operations and Production Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position.
• Excellent knowledge of Excel and Access.
• Experience with Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) software(s).
• Bilingual (English and French) speaking and writing.
• Sense of initiative, energy, enthusiasm, willingness to improve things, organizational skills, attention to detail, Cartesian mind, good negotiation skills.
• Asset: experience in the management of materials in a MRP, and having worked in a similar logistic model.
