IMPORTANT INFORMATION
All brass tubes are made of a slightly different alloy than brass fittings.
The manufacturing process for each one dictates this and it does, indeed, result in a slight color difference between the tube and the fittings.
Our brass tubes are shipped with a clear plastic shrink wrap over it.
This shrink wrap is added directly after the polishing process in order to reduce the rate of oxidation.
Depending on the storage environment (higher humidity, for example), the tube surface may oxidize.
Normally, the oxidation can be polished out using a brass polish.
The gage (in reference, specifically to tube wall thickness) is 18 gage. It is also called 0.05" wall thickness.
