Concealed Torque Hinge
To add to cart, choose from the options below.
Torque hinges use friction to lock the hinge in place. Moving the flap or cover causes friction, which results in its free-stop functionality. Free-stop function allows the hinge to stop at any angle without a stopper or any additional component. Torque hinges are used in many applications for efficiency, ease of use, and to reduce the risk of injury. A common application is for accessories in recreational vehicles (RVs).
Concealed torque hinges are installed on the inside of flaps and other components, for a clean appearance and to avoid protruding parts.
