Zipbolt UT (Universal Tool) - Mitre connectors are the ideal solution for angle joints and are suitable for a variety of applications from furniture construction to staircase design. The UT Mitre is truly flexible by allowing any angle between 90 and 180 degrees but with distinct advantages that allow the shaft to pass through the back of the housing providing travel and permitting the joint to be re-cut if necessary. The UT Mitre features two diecast housings and allows the user adjustment to create a perfect joint; each housing has an open channel for simply placing over the shaft for easy thread engagement and positioning at the correct height.

The distance from the edge of the material to the center of the 25 mm diameter bore hole (A) is 60 mm (B). Depending on the angle the material is cut and the depth of the bore hole, this actual distance will vary. The MITRE Zipbolt has been designed to adjust on the full scope of threaded shaft. For further adjustment when drilling the 9 mm shaft (E) continue to drill past the 25 mm bore hole. This allows the shaft to travel further past the gear head when tensioning MITRE Zipbolt.
