LED (light-emitting diode) is similar to the light of a fluorescent LED. It offers consistent color quality, and no UV light, so it won't fade product. For these reasons, it has been used in museums and is ideal for where light is required in tight spaces, such as accent lighting in furniture, cabinets, and displays. The power to an LED is converted into light and minimal heat is produced making them an especially safe light source in any environment. LED lights have a remarkable long life due to the fact that they do not use bulbs - an electronic component emits its highest light output for 50,000 hours.
Halogen produces a bright, white light, has a longer life, and provides more light (lumens) per watt than regular incandescent bulbs. It maintains maximum efficiency throughout the life of the bulb, and is available in both line- (120 volts) and low-voltage (12 volts). Low-voltage types require a transformer to step down the voltage. Halogens remain the light of choice where high light quality or precise light focusing is required.
A fluorescent bulb uses 1/5 to 1/3 as much electricity as an incandescent bulb with comparable lumen ratings and last up to 20 times longer. It can generate between 50 and 100 lumens per watt, making it four to six times more efficient than incandescent bulbs. You can buy a 15-watt fluorescent bulb that produces the same amount of light as a 60-watt incandescent bulb. Fluorescents produce less heat and are much more efficient. Available in a wide spectrum of colors; warm white tones best duplicate the color of incandescent.
Incandescent is a "normal light bulb" that we are all familiar with is also known as an incandescent light bulb. These bulbs have a very thin tungsten filament that is housed inside a glass sphere. Incandescent bulbs are inexpensive and readily available in a variety of wattages and shapes. They produce a yellowish-white light that is emitted in all directions.
Xenon bulbs provides a whiter, more natural light. Xenon runs cooler and lasts up to twenty times longer than halogen bulbs with an average lamp life rating of 15,000 hours. Low pressure lamps are safer and burn significantly cooler than halogen. No UV rays, and won't damage articles under the lamp. No problem to touch the bulb when relamping. Ideal for under cabinets, display cases, furniture, china cases, kitchen and office task lighting, shelves and more.
